Blancco Launches AI Platform for IT Asset Management and Data Erasure
Blancco Technology Group, a provider of data erasure and IT asset lifecycle management software, has introduced Blancco Blue, an AI-enabled platform designed to automate IT asset processing, data erasure management, and compliance reporting.
The platform draws on information from more than 500 million certified erasures conducted using Blancco technology over three decades.
Its AI assistant, Ask Blue, allows users to create automated workflows through natural-language instructions, query erasure histories, and generate operational reports.
Through Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, organizations can access these capabilities from AI assistants including ChatGPT, Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
Blancco Blue also provides centralized management for the company's data erasure and diagnostics products, now grouped under the Blancco Certify brand.
The erasure tools support more than 25 data sanitization standards and guidelines, with digitally signed certificates documenting completed operations.
For enterprise IT and security teams, the platform addresses the operational complexity of retiring devices while maintaining evidence that sensitive information has been securely removed.
Automating asset processing and audit documentation could also help organizations prepare equipment for resale or reuse without sacrificing data protection requirements. Blancco announced the platform on Oct. 14.
