EPAM Launches AI Service for Training and Testing Enterprise Agents

EPAM, a provider of digital engineering, cloud and AI transformation services, has launched a Frontier AI service aimed at helping AI developers improve how models and autonomous agents perform specialized enterprise tasks.

The service focuses on three areas: generating high-fidelity training data, evaluating model performance and creating custom reinforcement learning environments. EPAM is drawing on its enterprise engineering work to develop datasets and testing scenarios that reflect business processes rather than general-purpose language and coding tasks.

A key component is controlled simulation environments that reproduce enterprise systems and workflows. Developers can use these environments to test multistep interactions, reasoning and tool use before deploying agents into production. The environments can also provide feedback for reinforcement learning and subsequent model improvements.

EPAM said the service builds on partnerships with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Microsoft. The company has trained nearly 10,000 Claude-certified architects, more than 3,000 OpenAI-certified forward-deployed engineers and more than 5,000 Gemini-certified specialists.

For enterprise developers, simulation environments offer a way to test agent behavior against realistic processes without immediately granting AI systems access to production applications. As agents gain greater autonomy, evaluating tool use, reasoning and multistep execution under controlled conditions is becoming an important part of deployment and governance.
