Brinqa Adds Conversational AI to Cyber Risk Management
Brinqa, a provider of cyber risk and exposure management software, has launched BrinqaIQ, an AI capability designed to make enterprise cyber risk data accessible through conversational queries.
Built into the Brinqa Platform, BrinqaIQ provides a conversational assistant for interacting with the company's Cyber Risk Graph, documentation, and threat intelligence. The underlying platform consolidates and correlates security information from multiple sources to create a centralized view of organizational risk.
BrinqaIQ uses the company's Brinqa Query Language to translate natural-language questions into validated queries. Previously, extracting information from the Cyber Risk Graph could require users to construct SQL statements.
Security teams can ask about specific CVEs, exploitability, and compliance mappings. Query results can be viewed inside the assistant, saved for later use or executed through Brinqa's reporting tools.
The system also lets users query indexed product documentation conversationally rather than manually searching documentation and knowledge bases.
BrinqaIQ is the first major release from the company's newly established AI Center of Excellence, with additional AI capabilities planned.
For enterprise security teams, conversational access could broaden who can analyze exposure data while reducing dependence on specialists who understand the platform's query syntax. Retaining validated queries also provides an important control when AI-generated requests are being used to inform remediation decisions.
