TruVideo Adds Meta AI Glasses Support for Vehicle Service Technicians

TruVideo, a provider of AI-powered video intelligence and communication software, has added compatibility with Meta AI glasses, allowing automotive and commercial trucking service technicians to record vehicle inspections using voice commands while keeping their hands available for service work.

Technicians can start and stop TruVideo recordings through the glasses rather than handling a phone or other recording device. TruVideo said some customers were already using Meta's glasses in the field, but the new integration brings voice-controlled recording directly into its platform.

The company is also connecting transcripts generated through the glasses with dealer management system platforms. That allows inspection information to enter existing dealership processes rather than requiring technicians to move data manually between systems.

TruVideo plans to extend the implementation with an intelligent voice assistant that can use a vehicle's service history and provide technicians with step-by-step guidance during a job. Support for the glasses is currently available to select TruVideo customers.

For enterprise technology teams, the integration is another example of AI-enabled wearables moving into frontline workflows. Connecting wearable devices with established operational systems can reduce data-entry friction, but broader deployments will also require organizations to consider device management, access controls, customer privacy and policies governing recorded audio and video. Support on AI glasses is available now to select TruVideo customers.
