Collective Launches AI Platform for Private Market Wealth Planning
Collective, an AI-powered private market platform for financial advisors, has launched Compass, an AI platform designed to help financial advisors research private companies, model strategies for clients holding pre-IPO equity, and execute transactions.
The platform provides information on thousands of private companies, including enterprise valuations, per-share pricing, financing histories, capital structures, and policies governing secondary transactions and share transfers.
Compass retains client circumstances and goals across sessions and can perform exit-scenario modeling, option exercise and forfeiture analysis, concentration-risk assessments and tax modeling. Collective said its underlying models are reviewed by experts, with assumptions and reasoning presented so advisors can examine the analysis.
The platform also connects AI-generated planning with transaction services. Collective's transaction team can source bids and terms for stock sales, loans, exchange funds and other strategies. Advisor and client identities remain confidential until the advisor selects a counterparty.
For enterprise AI developers, Compass illustrates the move from general-purpose financial chatbots toward vertical agents connected to proprietary data, domain-specific models and real-world execution services. That architecture also raises governance requirements because the system's output can inform consequential financial decisions.
Collective explicitly limits the AI's role: Compass provides information and analysis rather than investment, tax or legal advice, and advisors remain responsible for suitability decisions and client recommendations.
