Verizon Expands Google Cloud Partnership to Scale Gemini Across Operations
Verizon has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to deploy Gemini Enterprise and related AI technologies across its customer service and internal operations, with a focus on delivering faster, more intelligent, and highly responsive experiences to consumers and businesses nationwide.
Gemini Enterprise for Customer Experience already handles the majority of Verizon's monthly inbound consumer calls and chats, allowing customer service employees to focus on more complex interactions. Verizon also plans to use Gemini's conversational and multimodal capabilities across additional digital experiences.
The agreement extends into network operations. Verizon is developing an autonomous network intelligence framework that uses Google Cloud as a data platform to predict and resolve network anomalies before they affect customers. Gemini Enterprise will also support agent orchestration and employee productivity.
The deployment builds on Verizon's consolidation of legacy data lakes into Google's Agentic Data Cloud, which provides a unified foundation for structured data, documents, and knowledge graphs. Coupled with Google Cloud's advanced agentic capabilities, including Gemini Enterprise, Verizon can effortlessly build and deploy AI agents that perceive context, execute automated tasks, and drive reliable, high-precision outcomes across every business unit.
For enterprise IT teams, the partnership illustrates the infrastructure required to move agentic AI beyond isolated pilots. AI agents operating across customer service and network management need governed access to operational data and applications, making data consolidation and integration as important as the underlying models.
