Sumo Logic Introduces AI Agents for Security and Cloud Operations

Sumo Logic, a cloud security and log analytics company, has expanded its AI capabilities with the introduction of AI agents, a new set of autonomous tools designed to investigate and help resolve security and cloud operations issues using data from the company's observability and security platform. Among the updates are Sumo Logic SOC Analyst Agent, MCP Server, and a new version of its conversational interface, Mobot, extending agentic AI across both security and observability workflows.

The AI agents can analyze telemetry, correlate events across multiple data sources, investigate alerts, and recommend or initiate remediation steps. Built into the Sumo Logic platform, the agents are designed to automate repetitive operational tasks while providing security analysts and site reliability engineers with contextual insights into incidents affecting applications, infrastructure and cloud environments. The Sumo Logic Intelligent Operations Platform refines telemetry into AI-ready fuel, and its conversational interface, Mobot, and MCP Server make it accessible wherever teams work.

According to Sumo Logic, the new capabilities are intended to reduce alert fatigue and accelerate incident response by allowing AI agents to perform multi-step investigations that traditionally require manual analysis. Human operators remain responsible for reviewing recommendations and approving actions where appropriate. The innovations will be showcased at Black Hat USA at booth #5641.
