Rep Data Adds MCP Server for AI-Driven Research Workflows
Rep Data, a provider of market research and survey data quality solutions, has launched an MCP server for its Research Desk platform, allowing researchers and developers to connect survey workflows with AI tools including ChatGPT and Claude. The server is LLM-agnostic, according to the company.
Built on the open Model Context Protocol, the integration lets users create and manage research projects, configure parameters, and generate survey deployment URLs through natural-language instructions. Actions require user confirmation before execution.
The MCP server covers workflows from initial project setup and quota management through project closeout and cost tracking. Rep Data said its internal testing included completing projects through AI assistants without directly using the Research Desk interface. Projects created this way still pass through the platform's Research Defender fraud prevention and data-quality controls.
Developers can also use the MCP connection to incorporate Research Desk capabilities into custom applications, workflows, and proof-of-concept environments. Rep Data plans to expand the server's capabilities and integrate it more deeply with its research platform during 2026.
