accessiBe Adds Conversational AI to Web Accessibility Widget
AccessiBe, a provider of AI-powered web accessibility and compliance software, has added a conversational AI assistant to accessWidget, giving website visitors a natural-language interface for requesting accessibility adjustments and navigating online content.
The assistant allows visitors to describe needs without identifying a specific accessibility setting or disability category. It can respond by applying an appropriate accessWidget adjustment or profile, moving focus to a requested page element, answering questions about the current page or producing a plain-language summary. The existing settings interface remains available.
The assistant was developed with input from its Inclusive Product Advisory Board and accessLabs, which include people with disabilities. It joins accessFlow, the company's developer tools for code-level remediation, and expert-led accessibility services in accessiBe's broader platform.
For developers and enterprise web teams, the release illustrates another potential use for conversational AI: replacing complex interface navigation with intent-based interaction. That could lower barriers for users who might otherwise need to understand an application's menu structure before finding the appropriate accessibility control. The assistant is available to accessWidget customers on Growth plans and above, with accessiBe planning a phased expansion to additional customers and partners.
