AI Mobile Dev Part of Oracle's New 'Autonomous' Line

Earlier this month Oracle Corp. announced Oracle Autonomous Visual Builder Cloud as part of its new Autonomous line of Cloud-based AI-driven PaaS offerings.

This line started with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse Cloud, which was announced last year. Visual Builder is part of a new three-part enterprise release which also includes Oracle Autonomous Analytics Cloud and Oracle Autonomous Integration Cloud.

The goal for the series is to "automate and eliminate key tasks" for datacenters and enterprises thanks to built-in algorithms, according to the company, thanks to the databases' "self-driving, self-securing, and self-repairing" capabilities.

"Embedding AI and machine learning in these cloud services will help organizations innovate in revolutionary new ways," Amit Zavery, executive vice president of development, Oracle Cloud Platform, commented in a prepared statement.

According to Oracle, Autonomous Visual Builder is designed to offer "rapid application development" assistance via automated-code options, as well as cross-platform deployment tools, among other features.

Oracle Autonomous Integration Cloud offers APIs for AI and machine learning frameworks; uses "crowd-sourced" data to speed up integrations; provides self-tuning and enables "Robotic Process Automation" for automating systems that are not API-enabled, among other functions.

Oracle Autonomous Analytics Cloud lets users ask questions using natural language via their mobile devices and receive "rich visualizations" and "proactive [data] suggestions" via phones; uses machine learning to unveil "hidden patterns" and "performance drivers."
